Development Prospects of Biodegradable Lubricants Based on Vegetable and Animal Fats for Railway Transport

https://doi.org/10.46973/1818-5509_2024_4_71

Abstract

A comparative analysis of tribotechnical and physical-mechanical properties of vegetable and animal fats and petroleum oils has been carried out. It is shown that the development of biodegradable lubricants for railway transport has prospects for low and medium-loaded friction units, as well as for preserving and washing compositions.
