3D Design and Mechanical Strength Calculation of a Tank Boiler

https://doi.org/10.46973/1818-5509_2026_1_130

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to analyze the structural strength of a tank boiler using mechanical calculation methods and relevant standards to ensure its safety and reliability under operating pressures and conditions. The primary goal of the strength calculation is to ensure safe operation of the boiler at operating pressures and temperatures, preventing accidents caused by material failure or structural failure. Strength calculations help determine the optimal wall thickness, stress distribution, and weld strength to avoid stress concentration, deformation, and cracking. Strength calculations help select the most appropriate materials and wall thicknesses, reducing production costs while maintaining a high level of structural safety and reliability.
