Abstract
This article analyzes the draft of the new professional standard "Occupational Safety Specialist" and outlines proposals for its revision. Harmonization of the new professional standard should seek synergy between regulatory requirements and the actual production capabilities of employers. Only if "safety culture" becomes not an additional functional burden on specialists, but a corporate value supported by senior management, can we expect a real reduction in the risk of occupational injuries and the sustainable development of the entire technosphere safety system in the Russian Federation.
