Abstract
This paper proposes informativeness metrics for methods of professional risk assessment and presents a comparative analysis of these methods. For quantitative evaluation, a relative informativeness indicator is introduced, based on the ratio of the volume of input information required for a method to the information obtained as its output. The results show that systematic methods provide the highest informativeness, whereas qualitative methods allow a rapid overview of potential hazardous events. The study demonstrates the possibility of objective method selection for a specific hazard source and technological process, enhances the efficiency of risk assessment, and serves as a foundation for the further development of hybrid and automated safety analysis tools.
