Abstract

This article examines the potential of shooting sports as a foundation for developing stress resilience and self-control associated with firearms use. The benefits of shooting sports for children and adults are discussed. It also highlights the potential of shooting sports for developing professionally important qualities in individuals whose work involves not only law enforcement, security (including environmental protection), and defense agencies, but also those involved in making responsible decisions under emotional stress.
